Annual Diwali Celebration

KYCOM’s annual Diwali celebration is a long-standing tradition spearheaded by Dr. Seema Sachdeva, Vice Chair of KYCOM Pediatrics. Diwali is a festival of lights and one of the major festivals celebrated by Hindus, Jains, Sikhs and some Buddhists. The event that is held each November includes traditional dress, dancing and food.

Muslim Student Doctor Association EID Dinner

The Muslim Student Doctor Association supports Muslim student doctors and hosts a variety of events and educational programs during the year, such an EID dinner for the KYCOM community.

Student National Medical Association – Annual Minorities in Medicine Conference.

The Student National Medical Association is open to all students and is committed to supporting current future underrepresented minority medical students and the needs of underserved communities. The KYCOM chapter hosts an annual Minorities on Medicine Conference where participants learn about way to promote, engage, and support underrepresented minorities in medical fields.

Lactation Room

A lactation room is available to KYCOM students, faculty, and staff. It is located on the mezzanine floor of the Coal Building.


Family Restroom Accommodations

Family restrooms are located on the 2nd, 5th, and 7th floors of the Coal Building.

Title IX

The Office of Title IX serves students, faculty and staff to ensure ºûµûÖ±²¥â€™s commitment to uphold a zero-tolerance policy for sexual misconduct (sexual assault, dating violence, domestic violence, sexual harassment, sexual exploitation and stalking) and discrimination based on sex. Each incoming KYCOM class completes an online sexual misconduct training program. Additionally, Title IX trainings are offered annually to each KYCOM class.
